Lotus Cars
Premium brand content for Lotus Cars
Client: Lotus Cars
Sector: Automotive
When Lotus Cars, one of the greatest names in British automotive history, wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their home at Hethel and then the 70th anniversary of the marque itself too, they turned to Dialogue to create a pair of premium print titles that could be treasured by enthusiasts and admirers all over the world.
A spectacular legacy of sporting success, distinguished designs and engineering excellence that stretches back for decades meant there was a great deal of ground to cover in a limited space. In both titles, the challenge was one of truly doing justice to every aspect of the history of Lotus Cars and making sure that each was equal to the high expectations of the marque’s devoted fans.
The remit
- Design
- Editorial
- Art Direction
- Photography
- Advertising
Knowing that only the highest standards would do, Dialogue worked closely with Lotus Cars to appreciate their requirements and commissioned, curated, designed and delivered two premium print titles full of high-impact content that highlighted fascinating parts of the marque’s legacy.
The opportunity to learn about the marque’s history and its future from its expert employees and supporters – including the son of its legendary founder, Colin Chapman – informed the editorial, while our designers used the very best of decades of dramatic photography to make sure that it was a visual delight. Both were supported by appropriate and carefully chosen advertising that fit with the marque’s ethos of excellence.
As an automotive brand with roots embedded in our home county of Norfolk, it was an honour to work on such prestigious projects.”
