Our approach to ESG

We embed ESG into our everyday decisions, shaping how we work, how we treat people and how we produce content responsibly. It’s a practical, evolving commitment to doing better, consistently.

At Dialogue, we believe progress happens through everyday decisions that impact how we work, how we treat people and how we produce great content responsibly. We take our environmental and social responsibilities seriously, embedding them into our culture and operations without compromising the quality or creativity of our work.

Our ESG approach covers how we minimise our impact on the planet, how we support and empower our people and how we work in a way that is thoughtful, inclusive and sustainable. It spans all areas of our business, from operations to content production and is guided by a practical commitment to doing better every day.

Mobile Industry Impact Report - GSMA

Environmentally conscious operations

We support agile working to reduce commuting and energy use, which means we work both in office for collaboration and creativity, but also from home for flexibility and efficiency. In our physical office spaces, we encourage responsible waste disposal and have eliminated single-use plastics by providing all staff with reusable bottles and cups.

Smarter travel decisions

We minimise travel by favouring virtual meetings where possible and by drawing on a network of contributors across the globe. When travel is required, we plan efficiently – combining interviews, shoots or meetings to reduce unnecessary journeys.

Sustainable print and production

We actively promote the use of recycled and responsibly sourced paper and we encourage biodegradable or paper-based wraps over plastic polywrap for magazine distribution. Where possible, we replace print with digital solutions, such as online proofs and digital file copies, to cut down waste and emissions. You can read more about our sustainable publishing, print and distribution best practice.

Putting people first

As well as protecting the planet, we believe in supporting the people who make Dialogue what it is today. Our culture is rooted in respect, fairness and collaboration. We make sure we offer an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, supported and empowered to thrive.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

We are proud to promote a working culture that embraces difference and values every individual.

We ensure equal opportunities in recruitment, development and progression, while at the same time we stand firmly against all forms of discrimination, harassment and victimisation. From senior leadership through to every department, we encourage open dialogue, celebrate individuality and expect all staff to contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace, where every person is treated with dignity.

Supporting families

We know that our people are at their best when work and life are in balance. Dialogue offers a family-friendly, flexible approach to working that supports employees at every life stage.

As a result, we’re able to attract and retain passionate people, helping them grow their careers in a friendly culture that values both creativity and care.

Volunteering

We encourage our people to volunteer within the community, offering two volunteer days per person to be taken in addition to holiday. We take part in local fundraising projects such as the Norwich Duck Race and cultural events such as Norwich Pride. Everyone is also encouraged to share their skills, including working with Norwich University of the Arts to mentor students in the classroom and out.

Committed to continuous improvement

Whether we’re improving how we travel, how we print, or how we support one another and our community, we know there’s always more to do. That’s why we regularly review our practices and look for new ways to reduce our environmental impact, improve inclusivity and foster a culture where people feel proud of the work they do.
