We’re very proud to reveal that the MX-5 Owners Club magazine, Soft Top Hardtop, which Dialogue produces, has just won the Best Club Magazine award at the Classic & Sports Car Club Awards 2022.
The awards took place on Friday 11th November at the Hilton Hotel after day one of Classic Motor Show 2022.
It was a record-breaking year with 240 nominations across all categories, more than ever before and making the competition tougher than ever.
The win is a fabulous accolade for the Dialogue team, acknowledging all the hard work that has gone into improving the magazine.
"Soft Top, Hardtop magazine has been a truly valued member benefit for the 7,000 members of MX-5 Owners Club for 30 years," says account manager, Rachel Turner.
"In July 2021 the magazine underwent a transformation that saw the content go from strength to strength, increasing the quality and frequency of member stories, introducing new writers with fresh ideas, starting a practical Buyer’s Guide, restructuring the magazine, building new relationships with advertisers and updating the design."
The changes have had a positive impact on the magazine and been met with excellent responses by its club members: 88% of members surveyed feel Soft Top Hardtop enhances their enjoyment of their MX-5.

Meanwhile, the Classic & Sports Car Club Awards 2022 revealed,
“This is always a hotly contested category and 2022 was no different with a huge number of entries.
“Our winner is Soft Top Hardtop, the magazine of the MX-5 Owners Club. Refreshed since 2021, and taking on board readers’ wishes to have more technical features, it’s a great-looking title, available in paper or a digital format, with a lot of variety considering this is a one-model club (albeit across four generations)."
Runners up were the Stag Owners Club and Messerschmitt Owners’ Club.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the brilliant British classic car club community.
